The prototype bumper on my truck has had It Time. Now let’s make something a bit more clean

It took longer than expected due to some parts that needed ordered, and I still have parts on the way, but she is finally up and running again. Head gasket is replaced, no thanks to the aluminium block. New cat-less downpipes, new intake boot, essentially a full upper end rebuild with complications. But she is finally alive again, with more more life to live!

Modifying an engine is one thing, but drilling into a block to fix it feels so wrong!

Not all people will agree with sleeving the threads in a 2.4 i6. Most people want to trash the block and get a new engine. It’s easier to throw it away than to fix it, sometimes it’s a lot cheaper too!

I couldn’t bring myself to give up on the heart in this little car, so we’ve taken the proper precautions, and got the proper tools, to make sure the repair was done professionally and cautiously. I can’t wait to get this engine back together and on the road! Let’s see how long it takes, it’s finally time to turn the ratchets to the “on” position and get to work!

Messy shop, is a busy shop. I’ve got clean up the shop a little bit, but from where I’m sitting this is a beautiful view. 04 bmw 325i and 09 Porsche cayenne both getting some repairs done.

The log arch is getting some use! We expected it to take some weight so we over built the structure to handle whatever we could throw at it. Expected weight was 1,500 lb, but we made sure to blow that out of the water. This log is 30ft and 2,500lb. This log arch made pulling this log ,out of a precarious, position easy!

Got a whole day of fitting up and cleaning some pie cut steel, and even testing a template on this 3” tube. The template for the cutout worked great, now it’s time to put it into the final part tommorrow afternoon 💪

Preparation refines the outcome of your final product! 1/2 inch thick pipe work on an old aerator that had the tongue break off. We kist got the tongue welded back on and attachmen repaired. There’s still a few more minor things that need to be touched up but it is currently functional and strong👌
