! The other day, our Field Service Tech, Shane, was on his way to a service call when he saw a small fire on the side of the road. This fire was close to a home, and without Shane's quick thinking, it could've been a lot worse.

Knowing the El Dorado area has a burn ban, Shane pulled over without a second thought. Our service vans have a fire extinguisher. Shane used his to start putting out the fire while getting ahold of the fire department. This gentleman stopped to help Shane and spoke to 911 while Shane put out the main part of the fire. They started putting out the smaller parts of the fire when Mr. Long, with Long's Blowpipe, stopped to help. The three put out the rest of the fire, and the fire department showed up to soak it down even more. The dry heat Arkansas is experiencing right now is dangerous, and this fire could've been major.

Shane has been overly humble about this, but we want him to know how much we value him and appreciate his service-oriented heart. He said, "I was just doing what I would do, even if I was not at work trying to help keep from being a major disaster. Nothing heroic about it." Thank you, Shane, for being a great guy inside and outside of work! You deserve all the praise!
