In recognition of Youth Month, we look back at a recent UJ Student Day, which consisted of a two part guest lecture and practical session.

Hosted at the University of Johannesburg's Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment, the guest lecture was presented by PERI's Devan Venter, a member of the Global Engineering Competence Team. The session explored temporary works engineering, the realities of construction sites, and the progression from engineering theory to modern BIM technologies such as the PERI Extended Experience App.

The second part of the excursion saw students visit the PERI premises, where they had the opportunity to put theory into practice. Working with , 5, and Alpha, students were introduced to access, shoring, and formwork solutions through practical demonstrations and hands on learning.

It is always rewarding to engage with the future of our industry and contribute to the development of the next generation of construction professionals. We look forward to the next opportunity to engage with tomorrow's engineers.

At the Lebowakgomo Reservoir project in Limpopo, PERI South Africa supplied MULTIFLEX, HANDSET Alpha, and QUICKSTAGE solutions to support the construction of reservoir walls, columns, and slabs.

With approximately 80 to 100 tons of PERI equipment on site working on a 2 day cycle, the systems assisted the contractor in achieving a faster and more efficient construction process while maintaining safe working conditions.

Season's greetings from all of us at PERI South Africa.

As the year comes to a close, it's time to pack away the tools and pause construction plans for a short while. We would like to thank our valued clients, partners, and teams for the trust, collaboration, and hard work throughout the year.

Please note that our offices will close on 15 December 2025 and reopen on 5 January 2026.

This warehouse build in Cape Town required a smart solution for the slabs and beam sides. A combination of PD5, Quickstage, and Handset Alpha was used to form the double volume slabs and beams standing over 5.8 meters high.

In total, MULTIFLEX on PD5 accounted for 104.5 tons, with HANDSET Alpha and QUICKSTAGE adding another 19 tons. The systems were cycled several times, PD5 across 2000m², HANDSET Alpha across 480m², and QUICKSTAGE across 135m², all at an average pour height of 5.2 meters.

Using PD5 meant the team worked with significantly less material on site, which made setup, handling, and transport much easier. With fewer parts to move, pours were completed ahead of schedule even with the wet and muddy ground conditions.

No cranes were needed, which helped keep the site open, organised, and safe.

Hearing from the client that "PD5 is the best support system we have worked with so far" reinforces our goal of delivering systems that make construction safer, faster, and more efficient every time.
