A toy appeal has been launched in Salisbury with the aim of providing a Christmas present for children from families who might otherwise go without this Christmas 🎁

Salisbury's annual Toy Appeal launched this month on Salisbury Radio, and it is estimated that over 500 children could benefit from the toy appeal. The local community is being asked to help make a child's Christmas a little bit more special✨

Salisbury residents are being encouraged to purchase an 'extra present' this Christmas and drop it off at one of the drop-off points, or they can also donate via the JustGiving Page:

Once the money has been collected, the team will complete a trolley dash at Symths Toys in Salisbury before the presents are handed over to the pantries. The toy superstore on Churchill Way West is supporting the appeal by helping the team with the trolley dash and donating money to the cause 💕

Are you a School or college leaver with an interest in AutoCAD and other design software, looking for an entry level CAD Technician’s role?

Based in Amesbury, we are a small engineering consultancy with a firm background in Civil and Structural Engineering.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with a good sense of humour, who has strong maths and English skills. The ideal applicant will be technically minded and have an interest in design software, such as AutoCAD and its application in the construction industry.

What will you be doing?

We will provide full training to enable you to produce detailed drawings relating to building structures, while at the same time liaising with fellow members of your design team, and external contractors. As your experience increases, so will your responsibilities; as time goes on you can expect to be using more and more advanced software, and taking responsibility for your own projects.

JCP is a small structural and civil consultancy based in Amesbury; we work on a range of projects for a wide variety of clients.

We currently have a vacancy for a highly motivated individual to provide administrative support to our team of engineers.

Candidate Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

• Strong analytical and organisational skills;

• Ability to use initiative, working both independently and as part of a team;

• Managing of Engineers diaries;

• Strong computer skills and proficient in the use of Office.

General duties of the successful candidate will include:

• Answering telephones and day-to-day communications with clients;

• Preparation and maintenance of project files;

• Handle new enquiries, allocate projects and prepare quotations;

• General office administration.
