My entry for our local blacksmith group's monthly challenge. We needed to make a forged bottle opener that would successfully open a bottle. I decided to go with a Mokume Gane keychain opener and shape it like an anvil.

This was made from 22 quarters stacked together and forge welded into a small billet. The billet was drilled to create the raindrop pattern. Turned out pretty good for attempt number 2... The first attempt was trying to forge to shape... That no worky :P

Here is a little something to think about before buying a cheap knife. Very detailed and explains the quality of cheap knives. If you want quality, send me a message! True high carbon steel Damascus from a reputable person / manufacturer will be wayyyy more than $24.99....lol Move the decimal over and it will be much closer to the right price. If you think it can be cheaper, message me and I can setup a time for you to build your own Damascus knife if you want to attempt it :)

Will cheap Damascus steel Harden? I try to Harden cheap Damascus from a cheap knife I bought from eBay. Best leather strops and diamond stropping compound⬇️ ...
