Part-time Mechanic - Job Offer East Coast
Position Overview:
We are seeking a part-time Field Service Technician with a strong background in railroad maintenance. This role is ideal for a former railroad maintenance mechanic who is familiar with track maintenance machines and wants flexible, part-time work supporting our manufactured equipment in the field.
Responsibilities:
Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on Swingmaster equipment at customer sites
Provide technical support and hands-on assistance during field service visits
Document work performed and communicate findings to our service team
Travel regionally as needed for customer support
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a railroad maintenance mechanic (required)
Working knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems on track equipment
Ability to read schematics, diagnose problems, and perform complex to basic service/repairs
Strong communication skills and customer-service mindset
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally
Work Schedule & Pay:
Part-time, flexible hours (ideal for retired or semi-retired mechanics)
