TYPHOON YAGI
Typhoon Yagi was the strongest typhoon to hit
the Southeast Asian country in decades.
The typhoon brought strong winds and heavy
rainfall across the region, leading to severe
flooding, landslides, and widespread destruction
of roads and mountains in Lao Cai province,
home to the popular trekking destination of
Sa Pa.
CLEANING UP
In the aftermath of typhoon, local authorities,
residents, and volunteers faced a significant
challenge as it immediately began the process of
recovery and cleanup.
Heavy machinery was deployed to remove fallen
trees, mudslides, and other obstacles to restore
access and safety.
While the storm brought destruction, it also
highlighted the community's unwavering spirit
and commitment to rebuilding their beloved
province.
In light of this, we encourage friends and visitors
who experienced the beauty of Sa Pa before the
typhoon to join us in the cleanup and restoration
efforts.
