At gbc engineers, we’re expanding our Engineering Department in Ho Chi Minh City and we’re looking for Fresher BIM Engineers & Fresher Structural Engineers to join our international team of experts from Germany and Vietnam.

gbc engineers is a German-headquartered structural and civil engineering consultancy with a fast-growing presence in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. We specialize in structural design, BIM modeling, and project management for projects across Europe, combining German precision with digital innovation.

🚀 What You’ll Do
- Support the development of structural and BIM models for international projects.
- Work with senior engineers to prepare design calculations, drawings, and technical documents.
- Use professional engineering & BIM tools (Allplan, Revit, SAP2000, ETABS…), depending on your role.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accuracy, coordination, and quality.
- Learn and apply Eurocode standards and modern engineering workflows.

🎯 What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- Basic knowledge of structural principles or BIM modeling.
- Familiarity with engineering or BIM software (Revit, Allplan, SAP2000, ETABS…) is a plus.
- Good English communication; German is a bonus.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn in an international environment.
- A team player with a motivated, growth-oriented mindset.

Most developers start with 2D drawings or IFC models, but these files often lack the structured material data required for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).

gbc engineers take those 2D drawings and rebuild them into data-rich BIM models. We embed essential details such as material layers, thicknesses, densities, and reinforcement specifications. From these BIM models, we generate precise Quantity Takeoff (QTO) tables that serve as the foundation for accurate carbon footprint calculations. Your sustainability consultants can then use this data to complete the comprehensive LCA analysis.

Here’s why: EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations) are useful. They tell you the impact of one unit of material. But they don’t show how much of that material goes into your building.

That’s where Quantity Takeoff (QTO) comes in. It takes your drawings and BIM models and pulls out the real numbers, the exact amount of steel, concrete, glass, insulation and more.

With QTO, all those EPD figures come together into one clear, measurable story of your project’s carbon footprint. For developers and consultants, QTO is one step closer to LCA reports that clients and investors or government can trust.
