Japan Tour! I visit Tokyo Station! So large!

I recently visited Japan for some business.
I took an express bus from Narita Airport—Japan's primary aerial gateway—to central Tokyo, and then transferred to a train to reach Tokyo Station. Japan is renowned for its highly developed public transportation network, and this station stands as one of its most iconic symbols.

Serving as a central hub, the station connects to various railway lines—including the famous Shinkansen (bullet train)—that travel to destinations across the country. The station complex is vast, housing a wide array of establishments such as souvenir shops and restaurants. The surrounding area is a forest of skyscrapers, home to the headquarters of some of Japan's leading corporations. Additionally, the Imperial Palace—residence of the Emperor and Empress—is within walking distance.

Originally opened in 1914, the station retains a classic brick structure on its western side, designed by two renowned Japanese architects. I highly recommend visiting this station yourself.

Go! Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway

I took a limousine bus from Narita Airport, Japan's aerial gateway. Although Narita is located about 70 kilometers away from Tokyo and other transport options like trains are available, I chose the bus. After passing through rural areas and cities of various sizes, the landscape shifted to a forest of skyscrapers as we entered Tokyo. A network of expressways weaves through the canyons of buildings, and I traveled right through the heart of it all. Gliding past famous hotels and the headquarters of global corporations was a truly impressive sight.

TOIKYO SUBWAY

A vast subway network spreads beneath Tokyo, the capital of Japan. It comprises a total of 13 lines and approximately 300 stations, spanning a combined distance of over 300 kilometers.

The stations are impeccably clean, and the platforms are equipped with safety barriers that open and close to prevent falls. The service is incredibly convenient, with trains arriving and departing at intervals of just a few minutes. While many major cities around the world have subway systems, Tokyo's stands out for its superb operation. I highly recommend giving it a try yourself.

I RODE TOKYO TRAIN

I recently visited Tokyo for some business.
Tokyo is known for its highly developed public transportation network, including trains and subways.
Massive terminal stations are located throughout the city, connecting the suburbs to the city center. During my trip, I frequently used the trains to get around Tokyo.
I would like to share a glimpse of that experience with you. This footage was filmed from the front car of a train traveling through the heart of Tokyo.

OHMEE, Chinese Style convenience shop appears

OHMEE is a 24-hour, next-generation convenience store (Next-Gen Convenience Hub) developed by Meiyijia, China's largest convenience store chain, for overseas markets.

It first entered the Vietnamese market in the spring of 2026 and is rapidly expanding its stores as an ecosystem that provides shopping, dining, and integrated services in one stop, targeting young people.

OHMEE is based on Meiyijia's strong supply chain and operational know-how, which operates more than 40,000 stores in China.

It offers light meals such as rice balls, sandwiches, and mochi bread, as well as trendy drinks such as coconut matcha lattes and ice cream at affordable prices (various combos available).

My personal impression is that it's a very well-established convenience store despite being relatively new. Also, the prepared bread items placed next to the register are the store's original products and I found them very delicious.

KAMADO SUSHI,the great Japanese restaurant in the west area of Hanoi

Tonkotsu ramen, known for its rich broth, is a type of ramen popular in Japan. And unlike in Vietnam, their fried rice is characterized by its soft rice texture. This restaurant offers an exceptional taste experience.

This time, I'd like to introduce KAMADO, a renowned Japanese restaurant located in the western suburbs of Hanoi. The owner of this restaurant honed his skills for many years at a Japanese restaurant in Tokyo, returning to Japan with extremely high levels of experience.

After returning to Japan, he opened his own restaurant in the suburbs of Hanoi, where he showcases his culinary talents. He seems to have a deep understanding of Japanese culture, as evidenced by the murals of women in kimonos on the walls. On the other hand, the restaurant's design is simple and down-to-earth, tailored to the Vietnamese dining style.

Now, the food has arrived. The selection of dishes is tasteful. And above all, the food is magnificent. The tonkotsu ramen is packed with vegetables, reflecting a focus on health. The soup is incredibly delicious. The fried rice is soy sauce-based, and just as it looks, it's a truly Japanese-style fried rice with soft rice. It offers a deep and satisfying flavor.

BEFORE ALL, Vietnamese Alternative Motorbike

While not widely known outside of Vietnam, there are many motorcycle manufacturers in Vietnam. Currently, electric motorcycles are the mainstream, and a considerable number of manufacturers have entered the market. This time, I'd like to introduce a motorcycle brand called BEFORE ALL.

This brand is a Vietnamese electric motorcycle (EV scooter) and electric bicycle brand manufactured and assembled by Công ty Tuấn Nghĩa (Tuấn Nghĩa) for the Vietnamese domestic market. They entered the market in 2012 and are recognized as an environmentally friendly urban mode of transportation.

Their products range from classic designs to futuristic designs, offering a diverse product lineup. I think the designs are quite good.

Representative models include the flagship "BF150S" (top speed 70km/h, range 150km), the minimalist "BC1," and the stylish "Civit."

This last item doesn't seem to be a BEFORE ALL product, but it appears to be made in Vietnam. I'm introducing it because I think the design and color scheme are excellent. Personally, I really want this.

In Hanoi alone, there seem to be quite a few shops selling it. However, they're relatively small and not very noticeable. If you see one, be sure to stop by!

The west guardian of Hanoi Capital

This temple is called "Den Voi P**c" (Temple of the Elephants). It is a temple dedicated to the guardian deity of western Hanoi (formerly known as Thang Long).

This temple is one of four special guardian shrines known as the "Four Guardian Deities of Thang Long," which have long protected the north, south, east, and west of Hanoi. It serves as the guardian deity of the west.

The enshrined deity is King Linh Lang the Great, son of Emperor Ly Thanh Tong (Ly Sheng Tong), the third emperor of the Ly Dynasty. He was deified as a hero who won a battle against the Song Dynasty and saved the country.

The temple is named "Den Voi P**c" (Elephant's Pillow) because of the pair of kneeling elephant statues (crouching elephants) placed in front of the temple gate, which are said to have supported the king's departure for battle.

From personal experience, the entrance to this temple is difficult to find, so please be careful. From autumn through the New Year, you can see many young people dressed in traditional clothing taking commemorative photos at this shrine.

Note: Since the area around the statue was under construction, the photo didn’t turn out well, so I’ve omitted it.
