There’s a feeling when you program a part, set up the machine, hit cycle start….and before the first tool is even done, you already know you don’t need to see the rest to know it’s a terrible program, RESET, back to CAM.

Tool life on these ISCAR Headquarters Multimaster ball mills has been outstanding. I do a lot of surfacing with 1/2” ball end mills and I’m noticing a significant increase from the previous ball end mills I was using.

Got a job coming up next week running the barrel mill Multimasters, looking forward to see how they perform. Stay tuned!

What did you spend your Saturday doing?

I swapped a mill for a lathe…

People say having a forklift big enough to move your machines is a luxury. What they don’t tell you is it gives you the ability to completely rearrange your shop every time you get a new idea. 😂

…..this is not a new to me piece of equipment, I’ve had it for years it’s just been sitting in storage.

I was going to machine this whole piece into chips, but convinced me to save it.

Now I get to store a 3” × 12” × 12” piece of aluminum on the shelf for the next three years just in case I need it someday but will never have the perfect part and won’t ever want to cut it up 😂

Some more window machining. This was not the original plan with this one, I had actually ordered an on size plate but made a mistake and grabbed a random piece of stock off the shelf to get it done rather than order new stock.

Leveling a machine solo?

Mount a GoPro on the level, watch the bubble on your phone, dial in adjustments without having to get up and down to check.
