Let's take one last look at The Woods, a new auditorium and gathering space Gen1 designed for Camp Geneva in Holland, Michigan. Designed to fit seamlessly into the beautiful wooded campus, the open interiors, natural wood beams and stonework create a welcoming hub for campers and their guests.
The auditorium, with its NanaWall window system that opens completely to the outdoors, provides a stunning stage for many camp activities and presentations.

Another look at our recently-completed project for Camp Geneva called The Woods. The focal point of this new building is the large, open auditorium. This new space is another example of the merging of the indoors with the outdoors.
The auditorium's back "wall" is comprised of sliding NanaWall windows. The entire glass wall can be opened when the weather is beautiful, with a widescreen view of the swimming pond directly outside. It's a much-needed space that gives the camp a gorgeous new space that can be utilized in any number of ways. See more at the link in the comments.

Another look at our custom home design The Cabin, featured in Cosmopolitan Home's recent Lakeshore Living Edition. The owners wanted a second home large enough for family gatherings while also complimenting its beautiful 6-acre wooded site. The Cabin features board and batten siding painted in an iron ore tone, natural stone walls, and cedar eaves and accents to give the home a timeless motif that fits perfectly in its natural setting. We're continuing a deeper look at our custom home design 'The Cabin' which recently received Cosmopolitan Home's annual "Best of Spring" recognition for 2024. Today we're outside the great room we saw in last week's post.
This central outdoor gathering area is the centerpiece of the exterior layout. The custom cement patio features an outdoor fireplace (mirroring the fireplace on the inside) as well as a rock pony wall cooking area. We're going to take a deeper look for the next few weeks into our custom home design 'The Cabin' which recently received Cosmopolitan Home's annual "Best of Spring" recognition for 2024.
One of the most striking features of this home, the main gathering space, as well as the first thing guests see when they enter, is this spacious great room. Custom douglas fir beams set a dramatic tone for this large space. The peaceful outdoor setting of the home is carried inside with the use of natural elements. This great room is designed for entertaining under the massive beams, a comfortable gathering space centered on a fireplace that backs out to its outdoor counterpart (which we'll get a look at next week!)
