I am pleased to share that I have a new client with a new Porsche preparing for Time Trial (TT) competition. Our training will focus on learning new tracks, reading apexes, determining braking points, mastering passing techniques, and running flat out.
To prepare them for a NASA-SE event, we are addressing the following requirements:
- Licensing: As a new TT competitor, the driver will likely start with a provisional license. This requires completing two full days of competition without incident and attending all mandatory meetings.
- Classification: We must decide between an unrestricted class (TTU) or a power-to-weight class (TT1–TT6). For the latter, we must submit a certified dyno report with a 50-RPM breakdown.
- Vehicle Prep: The Porsche requires a timing transponder, NASA decals, and car numbers at least 10 inches tall on both sides.
- Safety Gear: Per current regulations, drivers must wear long pants or full competition clothing while on track.
Our goal is to ensure safe and predictable driving to earn the respect of the field and secure a full license. If you are interested in track driving or need performance car services, please reach out to discuss a program that can help you.
Thanks,
Greg Slayton
