Aspire Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc. Position: Patient Care Coordinator
General Summary:
Under general supervision of the office manager/administrator, performs variety of administrative duties related to patient care and office maintenance.
Duties and Responsibilities
The following are essential job accountabilities:
• Greet and orient patients and families to Aspire’s office.
• Verify patients’ insurance and referrals with appropriate carriers and providers.
• Coordinate patients schedule accordingly to mitigate scheduling conflict with clinicians and other
patients using MedFlex (Aspire’s Patient Management Software).
• Initiate the care plan by providing educational information on orthoses and prostheses for
treatments, procedures, and continuity of care.
• Ensure patients follow through with their follow-up appointments to ensure continuity of care.
• Develop interdisciplinary care plan and other case management tools; Participate in meetings;
coordinate information and care requirements with other care providers.
• Resolve issues that could affect smooth care progression; fostering peer support; providing
education to others regarding the case management process.
• Document care; identifying progress toward desired care outcomes; intervening to overcome
deviations in the expected plan of care; reviewing the care plan with patients in conjunction with
clinicians.
• Interact with involved departments to negotiate and expedite scheduling and completion of tests,
procedures, and consults.

Aspire’s philosophy, goals, and standards of care; requiring adherence to other governing
regulations.
• Adhere to policies on prevention of spread of bloodborne and/or airborne diseases.
• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Others duties as assigned.
Physical demands
• Must be able to lift 50lbs using proper body mechanics.
• Occasional prolonged sitting.
• Must be able to work in fast pace environment.
Minimum requirements
• Computer skills: proficient in using Microsoft word, Excel, Power point, and Outlook
• Education: High School Diploma
• Experience: 2 years in administrative or clinical office setting
Preferred skills
• Familiarity with MedFlex patient management software is a plus
• Experience working in the Prosthetics & Orthotics industry is a plus
• Some College Education is a plus
• Billing and/or coding experience is a plus
• Insurance industry requirements and medical terminology is a plus
