Although not volatile at room temperature, at boiling point, oil does evaporate, and tends to condense on cooler surfaces in and around the cooking area. Now, if you are a “once-a-month cleanup person”, your problem could be from the grease accumulated on surfaces. By using strong cleaning agents, preferably fresh-scented ones on a daily basis, you can reduce cooking smells in your kitchen and around your house to a great extent.

The A3 Ghost Car Crash : One of the most eerie of modern day hauntings occured in 2002 on the A3 near Burpham Surrey in the UK. Just before Christmas 2002, police received calls from motorists who had seen a car suddenly veer off the road with its headlights blazing. Officers were dispatched to investigate, but could find no sign of a crashed vehicle at the scene. Further searching was ordered and police uncovered the wreckage of a Vauxhall Astra, containing the remains of a man, no more than 20 m from the supposed “crash scene”. The car was buried in twisted undergrowth, nose-down in a ditch and invisible from the road. The car’s lights were off – the battery had long since gone flat – and the man’s body was little more than a skeleton. A police spokesman later said: “We believe the car left the road and ended up in the ditch during July. It doesn’t appear that any other vehicles were involved. The car was discovered as a result of a report from members of the public who thought they saw a car’s headlights veering off the road.” The driver was later identified from dental records. One officer called the discovery of the five-month old co**se spine-chilling, and the motorists who reported the incident have been left wondering whether they saw a ghostly reenactment of the original crash.

The Spy House - Port Monmouth, New Jersey
As a tavern during the Revolutionary war, it was frequented by British troops, and the tavern owner would tell the Colonial troops about British plans of attack. Not one, but up to five different spirits have been reported here. A female spirit dressed in white has been seen walking from room to room looking for her crying baby. A full bearded old sea captain is also known to roam the grounds and halls, and a small ghost of a boy has been seen peering out of windows. The infamous pirate Captain Morgan was known to hide treasure in the house basement and conduct sordid business and tortures in the old house.

George Frederick Cook, an English actor who died in September 1811, is buried at the Episcopal Church’s Cemetery in New York. After donating his head to science to pay for doctor bills, George Frederick Cook was buried headless. It is said that in the productions of Hamlet, his skull was used as a prop. Reported activity : whispers, voices, shadow figures, and the apparition of a headless man.

When the remaining Beatles got together in 1995 to record Free As A Bird, they all felt the studio was haunted by the ghost of John Lennon. "There were a lot of strange goings-on in the studio—noises that shouldn't have been there and equipment doing all manner of weird things", said Paul McCartney at the time. "There was just an overall feeling that John was around." They also say that, mysteriously, you can hear John's voice in the recording.
