That’s a crispy seal! Here’s a perfect example of why it’s risky to buy a used hammer. Customer said this hammer was working fine when they laid it down some number of months ago. If someone had bought this “as is” how much longer do you think it would have worked? Winter is the perfect time for a preemptive refresh of your to eliminate downtime when work is rolling in spring!

This is a bad day on the job site! Seems a pin worked loose and concentrated stress on one side of the bracket. Check your gear before work and throughout the day! 30 seconds with a wrench might have prevented days of down-time.
