So this is the 500th hammer of 2015. It should finish out at 2 lb and is what I call a Czech cross peen. This one came out especially clean and true in all dimensions. Wouldn't want to give away anything less of course. :-) I'll be stamping "500th of 2015" on the side of this and some lucky person is going to win it.

Here's how this is going to work. To get your name in the hat for the drawing you need to do three things. Names will only be entered once, 20 shares doesn't get you 20 chances. If you have a page besides your personal page, such as a business page, you can enter a second time through that using that name (hope that makes sense).

1) Like this post. Has to be the original one here on the "Jackpine Forge" page. Liking it somewhere else won't get you in.

2) Comment on this post. Even just a simple "I'm in!" will do. This will help make sure I don't miss anyone. Again it has to be here on the original post on the "Jackpine Forge" page.

Next Sunday morning which is 12/13/2015 I'll stop the contest at 9:00 AM central time here in the US. At that point all names will go in a hat (or hopefully something bigger due to volume) and I'll draw a winner and announce it here.

Shipping here in the US will be covered by me. For those elsewhere around the world I'll cover the first $70 for international postage. That should get it most places at no cost to the winner.

If this doesn't end up being a confusing mess there may be more of these contests in the future. First time will tell.

Why is it that every time I make an Alabama or Ole Miss sign I have issues? Cut out and painted an Ole Miss sign with a two tone paint job this week. Put the last coat of paint on this morning went in for a few minutes and when I came back out to check it there was a lady bug stuck in the middle with ladybug tracks all the way across. 6 coats of paint and two coats of primer down the drain. Must be karma!
