Just another day of making chips, solving problems, and keeping jobs moving!

It's been a busy year at BTM. With new projects coming through the door and a few new faces joining the team, we're grateful for a team that continues to step up, share their knowledge, support one another, and keep things running smoothly every day.

Good people make all the difference, and we're fortunate to have a team that's always willing to pitch in, support one another, and do what it takes to get the job done right. Their hard work, dedication, and positive attitude are what keep BTM moving forward every day.

Please join us in welcoming Seara to BTM Industries for the summer!

Seara will be working alongside Reagan and learning about many of the behind-the-scenes functions that help keep our shop running.

Throughout the summer, she will gain experience in a variety of areas, including marketing, quality inspections, shipping and receiving, office operations, machining, and other projects that support both BTM Industries and our community partnerships.

One of our favorite things about bringing students into our shop is watching them discover new interests and opportunities. By spending time in a variety of roles throughout the business, students gain a better understanding of the many career paths that help support manufacturing.

We are excited to help Seara gain hands-on experience, explore a variety of roles and responsibilities, and learn skills that will benefit her wherever her future takes her. We look forward to having her as part of the BTM team this summer and seeing all that she accomplishes over the coming months!

WOOHOO! It's intern time!!

BTM would like to welcome our first intern of the summer, Enrique!

This week, Enrique has been spending time with one of our very talented machinists, Ricardo. He started learning about manual mill work on our large boring mill and what it takes to machine outstanding parts!

He also got the chance to spend some time with our very talented welder/apprentice machinist, Eliza, learning about welding. He got a firsthand look at the preparation and attention to detail required every step of the way.

One of our favorite things so far has been seeing how excited Enrique is to be here. He comes through the door each morning with a smile on his face, ready to learn something new and jump into whatever the day has in store.

We are thrilled to be a part of the Manufacturing Pathways Consortium and the High School Internship Program again this summer! It is an amazing opportunity for our local high schoolers, and we are excited to help introduce students to the many opportunities available in manufacturing.

We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store!

This year Reagan and Killian Tillman celebrate 4 years with us and Eliza Ferrari celebrates 3 years. Happy Anniversary Eliza, Killian, and Reagan, we are grateful to have you on the team and look forward to many more years!!

A little throwback to 1951.

This photo shows Kyra Tillman's great grandfather assembling a quick change gearbox at South Bend Lathe Works. His work helped inspire her grandfather to become a machinist and eventually start the company we still run today.

We have a copy of this photo hanging in our front office as a daily reminder of where we came from and the legacy we’re proud to carry forward.

It’s incredible to think about how skills, values, and a passion for building things get passed from one generation to the next.

A lot has changed in manufacturing since 1951, but the pride in doing good work and building something that lasts hasn’t changed at all.

Grateful for the foundation that was built long before us and the opportunity to keep building on it.

As we head into Memorial Day weekend, we want to take a moment to recognize our incredible team at BTM Industries. It’s been a busy year and their hard work, dedication, and teamwork have kept projects moving and customers taken care of every day.

While we are thankful for a long weekend and time spent with family and friends, it’s important to remember why we have it. Memorial Day is a time to pause, reflect, and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. The freedoms we enjoy every day, many of which we often take for granted, came at an incredible cost. We are deeply grateful to those who made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as to all who have served our country with courage and selflessness.

How often do we hear about the need for more interest in manufacturing careers? Look no further!

We are DELIGHTED to celebrate our newest Manufacturing Maverick, Eliza, a Welder/Machinist Apprentice, at BTM Industries, Inc.

Interested in forging a career with long-term growth and ongoing learning, Eliza joined the team at BTM as a Welder/Machinist Apprentice. As her skills grow, Eliza's career will continue to provide the advancement and educational opportunities she is seeking.

BTM is an innovative, short run job shop, providing machining and metal working services for over 60 years. The BTM team is heavily invested in growing manufacturing career interest by providing summer internships, accredited Apprenticeships, and coordinating with other area manufacturers to offer facility tours for local high school students throughout the school year.
