Today, we celebrate the retirement of Jeff Downs, or “JD,” as he’s known by his co workers and customers all across the nation.

JD has been a staple of Werts Welding for an incredible 38 years. He started his journey with us in 1988 in Shipping, eventually making his way to Inside Sales, where he has spent the latter part of his career building relationships, solving problems, and taking care of customers.

And when we say JD took care of his customers, we mean it. He cares deeply about the people he works with, and over the years, many of those customers have become genuine friends, even if they’ve never met face to face. That kind of connection is a testament to the person JD is and the impact he has had on Werts Welding.

JD proudly calls himself the ultimate outdoorsman, and we have no doubt retirement will mean plenty of time spent doing what he loves most, hunting, fishing, and enjoying the great outdoors.

Werts Welding simply would not be the same, or as successful, without JD. We are incredibly grateful for his many years of dedication, hard work, friendship, and commitment to our customers and our company.

Congratulations on your retirement, JD! We hope this next chapter is filled with big fish, great hunts, plenty of time outdoors, and all the adventures you’ve been waiting for.

Enjoy every minute of it and don’t be a stranger!
Happy Retirement, JD!

We had a great time at NTTC Tank Truck Week in Oklahoma City! Thank you to everyone who took the time to connect with the Werts team, both on and off the trade show floor.

We also enjoyed three successful dinners at some amazing Oklahoma City restaurants. Thank you to our customers and partners at Offen Petroleum, KAW Services, Falls Transport/Double R, CHS, Convenience Transport, Fitzgerald Trucking, Great Western, Dixon Valve, Heil Trailer, Civacon, and MAC Trailer for spending time with us.

This may be the end of trade show season, but the work continues. We’ll keep expanding our offerings and providing top notch service for our customers. Thanks for a great show!

Mike’s dedication to the Colorado Motor Carriers Association and the trucking industry makes this recognition well deserved. We’re proud to have him on the Werts team. Congratulations, Mike!
