October is starting off with two celebrations that are close to our hearts at Cretors: National Popcorn Poppin’ Month and National Manufacturing Day! 🍿⚙️

For more than 140 years, Cretors has been designing and manufacturing equipment that helps turn a simple kernel into one of America’s favorite snacks. From our earliest popcorn machines to the equipment being built today, innovation, craftsmanship and manufacturing have always been at the heart of what we do.

What a week in Charlotte!

Cretors was proud to be part of the Entertainment Food & Beverage Association’s Concession and Hospitality Expo, bringing together industry professionals for a week packed with education, networking and behind-the-scenes experiences.

As the current President of EF&B, Shelly Olesen had the opportunity to help welcome attendees and connect with longtime industry friends while meeting plenty of new ones along the way. She was also joined by Cretors’ newest team member, Matt Smith; not a bad way to kick off his first industry event!

The week included timely educational sessions on topics ranging from the impact of GLP-1 medications on concessions to strategies for reaching and marketing to Gen Z, followed by the Expo tradeshow.

Attendees also got a firsthand look behind the scenes at AMC Concord Mills, Carowinds Amusement Park, Charlotte Motor Speedway and Atrium Health Ballpark.

A great week of learning, sharing ideas and spending time with the people who make this industry such a strong community. Thanks to everyone who made Charlotte such a memorable event!

In addition to her role with Cretors, Shelly currently serves as President of the Entertainment Food and Beverage Association, and she recently joined Boxoffice for a conversation about the industry, its people, and and a sneak peek at the exciting event lineup at the EF&B Concession and Hospitality Expo being held in Charlotte, NC September 22-24, 2026.
