June is National Safety Month

With the currently available data in the US alone shows in workplace related injuries,

- 197,449 preventable injuries and deaths
- $181.4 Billion in total costs of all injuries and deaths
- 102,000,000 total days loss of work

What these numbers show is that as a nation we can be doing a lot more to keep our workers safe.

Our Owner and CEO is onsite at a client location.

We are working on guarding a Radial Drill. These drills can be difficult to guard due to the range of the motion the drill uses. Our engineers came up with perimeter guarding.

We are going to install perimeter guarding around the back and sides so no one can walk behind the drill. We are going to put guarding over the spindle of the drill, that way no one can reach into the spindle area while it's running and that no shavings can fly out and potentially injure anyone.

We will be adding a door on the front perimeter guarding for access to the machine to set it up. And finally we are going to be putting ballers on the top of the guarding for when forklifts come through they don't hit the guarding and damage anything.
