Water Advisory – The City of Wixom's
Boil Water Advisory has ENDED. See the following:

CURRENT UPDATE October 3, 2025 as of 8:30 AM

Residents and businesses are STILL EXPECTED TO CONSERVE WATER until the repair and return to service of the 42-inch water main is completed by the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA). Do not sprinkle your lawns and this includes deactivating programmed watering cycles. Again, conserve water until the 42-inch main is returned to service. The current estimate of the timing for restoration of the 42-inch main is 4 to 7 days.

Please use and the follow the appropriate checklist below before consuming the water:

Leaf Collection!

Leaf Collection!

The City of Wixom Department of Public Works (DPW) is proud to bring you Curbside Leaf Pick-up again for 2020! This service involves bringing a truck with a vacuum trailer along every residential public street curb within the City limits and vacuuming leaves that have been left curbside by residents. This is a six-week long process that is challenged by many factors, such as weather, traffic, age and species of trees, time required to provide service, equipment impacts when leaves are wet, etc. To help us provide this service, please:
*know the schedule
*rake leaves to the curb prior to the week of pickup
*keep debris out of leaves (pet waste, branches, rocks, lawn clippings, etc.)
*please be patient as DPW will make every effort to pick up leaves before the snow falls
If you have any questions, please call DPW at (248)624-0141.

The City of Wixom is asking residents to voluntarily comply with the Alternate Day Lawn Watering Program. We thank you in advance for your participation.
