Thank you to the crews who have worked tirelessly over the last 6 days. They’ve had minimal sleep, missed Easter with their families, and pushed through the hectic weather conditions to restore all services. Our hats off to you all, and we hope you get some much needed rest after today!

(While CWEC takes care of our immediate area, we also recognize the crews from Alliant, WPS, and others in the surrounding area who worked these long days as well)

2:15 p.m. UPDATE: We are down to 11 outages. Crews continue to work as fast and safely as possible restoring power. We should have all power restored today. We understand that the last few days have been a trying time for many with the power outages caused by the two ice storms. We thank everyone for their patience and understanding.

Thank you again for your patience as the line crews, as well as Phil, have been working as quickly and as safely as possible to make repairs. Summer can now show up anytime!!

Happy Easter! He is Risen - Alleluia!

As you gather for Easter with your families today, be thankful for all you have. There are empty church seats, and will be empty spots at the dinner table where linemen should be with their families too. Again today they are working hard to restore services to your homes and businesses, and we pray for their continued safety. We ask you to please do the same 🙏

A note of THANKS!!

After being on this mornings calls, we headed to Weston on a supply run. We stopped for a quick burger at Brews Brothers where the waitress then came to tell us that someone saw us and took care of our bill. 😭 Emotional us teared up with appreciation for the kindness.
So whomever you are, THANK YOU!! We appreciate you filling our bellies. These last couple days have been challenging to say the least, but we are grateful to have nice people left in this world!

Please continue to pray for the safety of our linemen and operations teams. They’re all working long hours, our son included.

Here’s just a quick look at some of the jobs encountered this morning. Soooo much damage from fallen trees. Repairing a lot of torn off masts, as well as busted or stretched lines. We continue to work together with the area utility companies to get your power restored as quickly, and again as safely, as possible.

Thanks for your patience, as even the secretary hit the road to help today. We’re responding as timely as we can.

Not such a Good Friday in Central WI. Here’s just one of the jobs we were on yesterday, and many more followed and are on schedule today.
Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative is working as quickly and as safely as they can to restore power to our area. The frozen trees that are breaking continue to prove to be a challenge. Remember to call to report outages, and stay away from any downed lines.

Spring may be just around the corner, but it sounds like winter isn't done with us yet. Snow is predicted for tonight in the CWEC territory, with high winds tomorrow. And then a BIG snowstorm is being predicted for the weekend.

These storms could potentially cause power outages.

If you experience a power outage, please report it by calling 715-677-2211. If you see a downed power line, do not go near it, as it may still be energized.

If you have to travel, allow yourself extra time, and have an emergency kit of supplies in your vehicle. It's best to prepare for the weekend storm and plan to not travel during that time.

A homeowner had to call in a contractor after having some water damage. Upon removing the baseboards the contractor found this free floating wire. Of course this is definitely a code violation, so Phil was called in to bring this up to code. Conduit is now in the wall, wire protected, and the contractor can finish the needed repairs for the rest of the project.

Hope everyone is staying safe & warm today. It’s been awhile since we’ve posted cause let’s be honest, Phil is focused on work and not on taking pics for me (Tanya) to post!
Things have been super busy, and today was no different. A service call to a local farmer led to find this fried mess this morning. Repairs have been made, and the trailer is back in the yard until the phone rings again.

Thanks to all for your continued patronage. The schedule continues to stay full, so please plan ahead for upcoming projects. We remain optimistic that spring is gonna show up eventually 😊
