Update on Andre

This is long overdue....
We would like to thank everyone for your Prayers, love and support. It has been such a true blessing to us all. Any financial help we received went straight to helping keep the lights on at the shop, fed the family, gas for traveling back and forth to the hospital, and even supported Andre to get the medical things he needed to recover properly and safely. We are so grateful to you all!
There were some hiccups along the road of recovery but......God got it all straightened out! Andre is doing very well, He is getting stronger everyday. He is an example of what prayers can do....a walking Miracle, A true powerful testimony! Glory to our Lord.

With Love and Thankfulness,
-Chris Swanson

Update 3/9

Andre is doing very well. We are hoping that he will be able to come home this week. He will still need extra care at home and rehab, however he is on a strong road to recovery. He will not be returning to the shop right away but he intends on keeping up with business from home.

The shop is still operating under normal business duties. Dave (shop Manager) is handling all customer inquires and service work. Please call 903-365-2332 and leave a message, Dave or I will get back to you . Because Phone tag is not fun....We prefer you send an e-mail to [email protected]. This has shown to be the most proficient way to communicate. From there a phone call appointment can be made that best suits your schedule.

Service tour for 2026 is canceled. We hope to start up again in the late winter / early spring of 2027.

We will be doing all Service work at the shop. We have open appointments available. Please e-mail us to schedule your spot.

Thank you Friends, customers and Pinzgauer community for your continued support. We appreciate you!

We want to start by thanking everyone for all of your kind words during Andre’s health journey.

To provide a general update , after coming home from surgery on Monday (2-9-26) Andre was readmitted to the hospital on Wednesday (2-11-26). He is in critical condition and is currently being monitored by his medical team for an undetermined amount of time.

As of now, Fat Fabrications operations continue uninterrupted.

We are asking for privacy during this time.

However, For those asking how to help, your prayers and kind words mean everything. We see and appreciate your comments here on Facebook.
If you would like to support our family in a tangible way while we focus on his needs, we’ve shared a link below.

UPDATE: 2/5

Andre is doing good. Surgery went well. He is in ICU, sitting in a chair drinking his breakfast.

Good day to get fixed.

This is Chris (Andre's wife) Here's the update:
He did not have heart surgery today because he is not strong enough yet. However the doctor inserted a tube in his lungs to drain the fluid, which there is a massive amount. He also had surgery today to install a device to help his heart pump blood while he recovers from pneumonia. He is in the ICU, he is stable and will be there until they feel he can handle the extensive heart surgery he needs.

As far as Fat Fabrications shop. Work is continuing as planned for those trucks at the shop and will continue to do so during Andre's absence. However we will not be taking on any new big projects at this time. Our techs are very knowledgeable and willing to help with any questions or concerns you might have about your truck. Also any parts you may need please email us and I will respond as quickly as I can.

We have had to postpone the western tour for winter, if you were on the list and have made a service deposit and would like us to return it please send an email. Service tours will be back on the schedule after Andre's full recovery. He loves what he does and truly appreciates all of you!

One last note:
Please be respectful of his need for rest and recovery. So no business calls for now. I am so very grateful for all your kindness, patience and support for Andre.

As Andre would say "Levers Down"

Thank you
-Chris Swanson

Open heart surgery wasn’t on my to do list for 2026 but I guess it’s best to get it done sooner than later. Last week I came down with “walking pneumonia“ and thought it was just the crud. So I eased off my work load and took a couple days off to let it pass. After no improvements, I went into the ER to get checked and possibly draw some real meds. Instead I was checked in and assigned a cardiovascular specialist to discuss my near critical heart condition.
Like all things in my life, I trust my Lord Jesus. When you live your life by Him, things happen quickly as His timing falls into place. This morning I am fully prepared and expecting to go to surgery this afternoon at 1500 CST. Praise Jesus he got me sick enough(at home) to discover the heart issues early, rather than grasping my chest somewhere in the countryside servicing a Pinzgauer. God Is Good!

If the harsh weather wasn’t enough to delay work plans, a hospital visit will. The winter western service tour will be delayed. Thank you for your patience and continued support.
