Training Day on a massive new Milling/Boring/Multitasking machine in Upstate New York!

Fully installed and now in the training phase, this Soraluce FLP6000 6-axis (4+2) floor-type milling/boring/multitasking machine delivers ample capacity for machining large, complex components in fewer setups with higher accuracy.

Soraluce FLP6000 specifications:
• 236" (6 meters) of longitudinal X-axis travel
• 86.61" (2.2 meters) of crossrail Y-axis travel
• 63" (1.6 meters) of vertical, Z-axis travel
• Universal Head (0.001° indexing)
• 78.74" x 78.74" (2 meter x 2 meter) built-in 4th axis table

FIBA Boosts Productivity with Soraluce Multitasking CNC

Amid increasing demand from their customers, FIBA Industries of Littleton, Massachusetts invested in a Soraluce FLP 14000 floor-type multitasking machining center that could perform all machining operations, milling and turning, on both sides, of their vessels (up to 42' long) in a single set up.

The Soraluce FLP 14000 CNC mill uses a mobile pendant, which can travel 14,000 mm on the X-axis, 2,200 mm on the Y-axis and 1,500 mm on the Z-axis. These travels are enough to move from one end to the other, of three, 42-foot vessels, cutting out the need for a crane to flip them. This capacity, along with an articulating universal spindle head, has allowed FIBA to increase productivity nearly 50%.
