John Little Littlesraceinnovations had asked me if I could help with a project of his. The goal was to design a throttle body inlet that matched the profile of the new glasstek carbon hood for this nova. Spent a day down at his shop designing two sets of custom scoops in CAD, using a wide variety of measuring techniques as my 3d scanner got lost in the mail and wasn't available. (Two different deck height engines) Followed that up with 3d printing test fit pieces. Test fits went well with only minor tweaks needed. The next step was deciding what to make the final product out of. We threw the idea of carbon or 3d printed metal. But at the end of the day, CNC out of solid billet aluminum was the right answer. Designed and fabricated in-house. Thank you John, for the opportunity and trusting me to be a small part of this amazing build.
