Our crew planned on two days for this install in Huntsville, Alabama. They finished in one and made it home safely ahead of the hurricane.

The job was a 25' x 25' Gorbel workstation crane with a 1-ton electric chain hoist, built for lifting welded armored steel and keeping that area of the plant moving.

Most plants have a short list of projects that can only happen when the line stops. A crane runway that needs extending. A hoist that's due for replacement. A conveyor section that has to move before the new layout works.

Allied Automation brought their demo van to Wi******er for a few hours last week, giving our engineering and technical team a closer look at some of the current robotics and controls equipment on the market.

It's one more way we stay connected to the partners and technology that end up solving real problems for our customers.

Sparks flying on our shop floor today as the team works in tandem to move a customer project forward.

New arrival on our floor in Wi******er, a FANUC M-410iB palletizing robot. We'll be building it into a palletizing system for a customer.

Palletizing is repetitive, physical work that wears on people over time and is hard to keep staffed. Automating it usually means safer operations, faster throughput, and more consistent handling across different box, bag, and container types.

Palletizing is one more corner of the plant floor S&K knows how to automate.

Phillip brings 15 years in warehouse automation, conveyor systems, AGVs, packaging equipment, and pallet racking, from the initial quote through installation and after-sale service.
