Each year Route 15 sponsors an essay contest with the Wilmot High School juniors, and their task is to present a business plan that they would bring to Wilmot. This annual contest is intended to foster a growth mindset for our youth so that they will consider what opportunities they could contribute to the future success of our community.

𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗲 / 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁
Some colors were made to stand out in any crowd. This is one of them. 💚
Known as “Sublime” on Dodges and “Lime Light” on Plymouths, this vibrant hue first appeared in the 1970 Mopar High Impact color palette. Designed to be as bold as the cars they adorned, these colors were crafted to steal the spotlight and leave a lasting impression.
The name Sublime was more than just a catchy title—it perfectly captured the essence of the eye-catching, electric green that became synonymous with the free-spirited attitude of the muscle car era.
This iconic shade lit up legendary models like the Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger, and Plymouth Barracuda, embodying the daring style and fearless energy of the time.
Even today, Mopar enthusiasts recognize this color as a symbol of daring design and unrestrained power.
If excitement had a color, it might look a lot like this. 💚🏁

Can you guess this week’s Paint Color Highlight? 👀

𝗧𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗱 / 𝗛𝗲𝗺𝗶 𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲

Some colors were made to look fast even while parked. This is one of them. 🔥

Known as “Tor Red” on Dodges and “Hemi Orange” on Plymouths (paint code EV2), this blazing shade debuted in the 1970 Mopar High Impact color lineup. The colors in this lineup were loud on purpose. Mopar wanted their cars to jump off the showroom floor and burn into people’s memory. Mission accomplished.

The name Hemi Orange wasn’t just marketing flair. It was a direct nod to the legendary 426 Hemi engine that powered some of Mopar’s most feared muscle cars. Bright, aggressive, and impossible to ignore, the color became closely tied to the high performance reputation of those Hemi-powered machines.

This fiery orange-red lit up icons like the Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger, Plymouth Barracuda, and Plymouth Road Runner, helping define the wild style of the early muscle car era.

Decades later, Mopar fans still associate this color with pure horsepower and old-school attitude.

If horsepower had a color, it might look a lot like this. 🏁🔥

Can you guess this week's Paint Color Highlight? 👀

𝗣𝗹𝘂𝗺 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝘇𝘆 / 𝗜𝗻-𝗩𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘁

If Mopar had a royal color, this would wear the crown. 👑💜

Known as “Plum Crazy” on Dodges and “In-Violet” on Plymouths (paint code FC7), this legendary shade was part of Mopar’s bold High Impact paint lineup. These wild colors were designed to grab attention on the showroom floor and make sure their muscle cars were anything but ordinary.

The name “In-Violet” is also a clever play on the word inviolate, meaning something kept sacred, pure, or untouched. A fitting name for a color that Mopar fans have protected like treasure for decades.

This deep, electric purple ruled the streets in 1970–1971 on icons like the Dodge Challenger, Dodge Charger, Plymouth Barracuda, and Plymouth Road Runner. It quickly became one of the most recognizable Mopar colors ever sprayed.

Fans loved it so much that it returned decades later in limited runs on modern Challengers and Chargers, including 2007, 2010, 2013–2014, 2016–2019, and 2023.

Loud, unmistakable, and impossible to miss in the wild. Exactly what muscle cars were meant to be.

When Mopar goes purple, it doesn’t hold back. ⚡
