How It Started
Maffett Motorwerks began with a simple obsession. Daniel Maffett grew up sketching custom builds and studying the lines of classic cars. That passion eventually became a full-time career in automotive design and fabrication. He’s taken home an Autorama win, hosted MotorWeek, and worked alongside well-known names like Chip Foose.
Daniel later teamed up with his longtime friend Andy Sheppard. Andy is the mechanical mind behind the operation, making sure every car functions as good as it looks. While Daniel focuses on the design and storytelling, Andy brings it all to life under the hood. Together, they’ve built a shop that blends creativity with precision.
What They Do
Maffett Motorwerks builds full vehicles from the ground up. They focus on classic restorations, performance upgrades, and high-end custom builds. Every project is carefully thought out, with meaning behind each part and every decision.
Their current spotlight project is a 1970 Chevy C10 called Project Novello. It’s built entirely from aftermarket parts and is headed to SEMA 2025. But it’s more than just a showpiece. It’s a tribute to a close friend, born from a promise and a shared vision that still drives the build today. Every piece of the truck tells a story.
