Our tech was called out to the customer for a 2014 Mack CXU that was leaking oil around the oil filter housing. After getting checked in with management and setting up in a safe work area, it was time to dig in and find the source of the problem.

Getting to the oil filter housing meant removing quite a bit — air cleaner tubing, cooling lines, turbo oil lines, EGR brackets and piping, the EGR cooler, turbo, oil filters, and the lines running to the housing. Once everything was out of the way, the old housing and gasket were removed and the mounting surface was cleaned up and prepped for the new parts.

A new gasket and oil filter housing were installed, along with new oil filters, and everything was carefully put back together. The unit was fired up for testing… and that’s when the tech caught another leak coming from the inlet pipe going into the new housing. 👀

Back apart it went! The inlet pipe and O-rings were replaced, everything was reassembled, the cooling system was topped off, and the Mack was started up once again for a final check.

This time, everything checked out! ✅

Another repair handled right where the equipment works, helping keep downtime to a minimum and getting the customer one step closer to keeping their operation moving. 💪

🚛💨 Air Bag Trouble? TCS Has It Covered! 🔧

Our tech was already onsite working on a 2017 Freightliner M2 112 when a problem that couldn’t be overlooked was spotted — all four air bags were showing serious dry rot and cracking, and the truck was losing air while parked. Time for a full replacement! 💪

Our tech returned with the new parts and got straight to work. The M2 was located in the yard and the repair began by disconnecting the air lines and removing the fittings from all four air bags. Once everything was disconnected, the mounting hardware was removed and all four worn-out air bags were taken off the truck.

With the old bags out, the mounting areas were cleaned up, removing built-up rust and grime before giving the area a fresh coat of paint to help protect against future corrosion. 🛠️

Then it was time for the new equipment! Four new air bags were installed, fittings were reinstalled with fresh thread sealant, and everything was tightened down to spec. The air lines were reconnected and secured, getting the entire system ready for testing.

The truck was started, the new bags were filled, and the system was carefully checked for leaks or any other issues. Once everything checked out, the Freightliner M2 112 was ready to get back to work! 🚛💨

🔥 Another Overheating Issue Tackled Onsite! 🔧

Our tech headed out to the customer to take a look at their Yale GLP030, which was experiencing an overheating issue. After diagnosing the lift, we found a failed water pump and a thermostat stuck shut — both critical components of the cooling system.

Once the unit was safely moved into a working area, we got right to work. The hood, intake, belts, pulleys, fan components, brackets, and front covers were removed to access the timing system and water pump. The engine was set to top dead center, the timing components were removed, and the failed water pump was replaced after preparing the gasket surface.

Next came a new timing belt and tensioners, along with reinstallation of the cam sensor and brackets. The timing was verified before moving on to the cooling system. New hoses were installed, and the thermostat housing was accessed through the side panel so the stuck thermostat could be replaced.

💪 Once everything was back together, the cooling system was filled and properly burped. We ran the Yale GLP030 through testing, checking for leaks and making sure the overheating problem was officially behind us.

After a final inspection, cleanup, and fluid top-off, this Yale was ready to get back to work! 🚜⚙️

The customer reached out with a Doosan D70S-5 experiencing leaking tilt cylinders, and our tech headed straight to the customer’s location to get the problem handled onsite! 🔧💪

After checking in with management and locating the unit in a safe work area, the tech got right to work. Portions of the dash were removed to gain access to the tilt cylinder pins and fittings. The hydraulic lines were disconnected and capped to prevent any additional fluid loss while the repair was underway.

Next came the challenge — the tilt cylinder pins were slightly seized! 🔥 The tech put some heat to the pins and worked them loose with a hammer before successfully removing them and pulling the damaged tilt cylinder from the unit.

With the cylinder out, the area was thoroughly cleaned to remove built-up gunk and debris before the new tilt cylinder was installed. The hydraulic lines were reconnected, the pins were properly seated, and everything was secured back into place.

Before wrapping up, the tech gave the Doosan D70S-5 a complete operational test to make sure the tilt function was performing properly. Everything checked out, the work area was cleaned up, and the unit was handed back to the operator. ✅

Another tough job knocked out in the field by TCS Mobile Repair! 💪

This Toyota 8FGCU arrived with a lift that would not go into gear. After digging into the issue, we found the transmission clutch packs were severely worn, causing the transmission to slip and preventing the unit from operating properly.

Our tech got to work onsite, removing the hood and disconnecting the electrical and cooling system connections. The cooling system was drained, engine and transmission mounts were removed, and the engine and transmission assembly was carefully lifted out of the unit.

From there, we separated the old transmission, removed the converter and bell housing, and installed a new transmission and converter. Everything was reassembled, including the mounts, electrical connections, and cooling system.

Once the mechanical work was complete, we filled the cooling system and transmission, brought the unit up to operating temperature, allowed the system to burp, and verified the transmission fluid level was correct. After a thorough test, the hood was reinstalled, the work area was cleaned up, and the Toyota 8FGCU was ready to get back to work! 🔥

Another call, another problem tracked down and handled! 🔧💪

We traveled out to the customer’s location and got straight to work on this 2022 Ford F-650 with the CEL illuminated. After safely locating the unit and connecting our diagnostic equipment, we found an active fault pointing directly to a failed soot sensor heater circuit.

We checked power, ground, and the data link to the sensor to make sure the issue wasn’t hiding somewhere else. Everything checked out good, so we removed the probe for a closer inspection and found the heating element had broken internally.

With on-site approval, we sourced the replacement part locally and got right back to work. The failed soot sensor was removed and replaced, the harness was secured with zip ties, and the soot sensor reset was performed.

After everything was buttoned back up, we ran the unit through testing and verified no faults returned. Inactive faults were cleared and the F-650 was released back into service! ✅

Complaint: Steering axle falling out of the machine… for the THIRD time.

We recently picked up this new customer through a referral from a good friend in the industry. When we arrived, they had a slew of paper-roll trucks with issues—but this Doosan came with a story.

The steering axle had already fallen out twice. Each time it went down, the machine sat at our competitor’s shop for MONTHS.

Coincidentally, the steer axle fell out again.

To avoid another round of ridiculous downtime and added cost, we performed the repair on-site. Once we started tearing into it, things got ugly—fast.

Our incredible competitors had drilled the broken studs out crooked AND used the wrong-sized drill bit for the tap. What should’ve been a lower-frame repair turned into removing the rad, engine supports, counterweight, exhaust, overhead guard, and more.

We removed the damaged subframe section and brought it to our good friends at 45 Fab, who did the repair RIGHT. Then we returned, put the entire machine back together, and got it back into service.

They had it for months.

We did it correctly in 10 days.

There isn’t a single forklift repair company in this state that can compete with us. 🤷🏻‍♂️

We went out to a customer to take a look at their Toyota 8FGC55U, which was dealing with a hydraulic leak at the clamp. After operating the clamp and digging into the issue, we found the long arm cylinder was cracked and leaking. 😬

With the replacement parts overnighted, we headed back out to the customer and got to work. While removing the cylinder pins, we uncovered another problem — one of the pins had snapped off inside the cylinder! 💥

We removed the hydraulic hoses and carefully removed the damaged cylinder. The new cylinder and pins were installed, locking plates secured, and all hydraulic hoses reconnected.

Once everything was back together, we put the clamp through its paces and tested the unit to make sure everything was operating properly and the leak was resolved. ✅🔧

Another repair completed in the field and another piece of equipment back up and running! 💪

This 2023 Pratt Industries Roll-Off Trailer came in with low brakes and some serious squealing — definitely not something you want to ignore when you’re hauling!

We got the trailer secured and up in the air, then removed the wheels and drums for a full brake inspection. After measuring the shoes at all four corners, we found they were due for replacement, and the drums were showing signs of heat cracking. 🛠️

We replaced the brake shoes on all four corners, installed brand-new drums, properly adjusted the brakes, and reinstalled the wheels. Everything was torqued to spec before putting the trailer back through testing.

After testing the trailer, we confirmed the brakes were adjusted properly and operating as they should. ✅

Another trailer back in top shape and ready to get back to work! 💪
