We have moved locations. It’s been a long process that is still not complete. But we are mostly operational at our new location in Attica Indiana next to the health department.

We still have some things to organize and line out but we are almost ready to be back making parts at full capacity.

Job Title: CNC Machine Operator - Coffing CNC Machine Shop

Location: Carbondale Indiana

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our small machine shop, Coffing CNC. As a CNC Machine Operator, you may be responsible for the setup and operation of our CNC machines to produce high-quality precision parts. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about machining and have experience working with Haas CNC machines.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations according to specifications
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts onto the machine
- Adjust machine offsets to ensure accurate and precise machining
- Monitor machine operations to detect any issues or malfunctions
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any machining issues
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience operating CNC machines in a machine shop environment
- Strong knowledge of machine setup and offset adjusting techniques
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Familiarity with various machining tools and equipment
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions

Preferred Qualifications:
- Vocational or technical training in machining or related field
- Experience with programming and editing CNC codes
- Knowledge of G-code and M-code programming languages
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software

Farmers much like machinists don’t take time off.

A line down situation came in the shop last week from a new customer. The request was for a brass bearing to be modified with an unusual TR24x5 LH thread. Despite calling multiple machine shops, they couldn't find anyone willing to take on the job due to the thread's peculiarity and the limited time available. Fortunately, on Friday afternoon we managed to find a tool and by Monday morning we were able to machine the required parts. At CoffingCNC, we are always ready to make an extra effort in order to complete the task successfully!
