FAQs:
- What should be included in a spill containment management process?
- Do my sumps actually hold worst-case volume?
- What role does inspection play?
- How do spill kits mitigate risk?

Unprecidented Number of Fatalities in Chemical Plants in the Past 11 Months

C&EN reports that 36 people died in U.S. industrial chemical accidents over a recent 11-month period, all while the the US Chemical Safety Board faces closure.

For facility leaders, the takeaway is clear: safer processes, clear procedures, continuous improvement, transparent reporting, and necessary improvements and updates are essential to protecting workers, communities, and the environment. Ideally, so no investigation of a tragedy has to occur. Ever.

It's 95° outside. So why are we talking about winter?

Because successful capital projects don't start when the weather changes. They start months earlier.

If a chemical storage building is part of your facility plans this year, now is the time to begin evaluating your options. Site planning, building configuration, state approvals, and project coordination all happen before the building arrives at your site.

Starting the conversation during the summer gives your team the time to make informed decisions and align the project with your operational schedule AND capex budget.

When the first snow arrives, the goal isn't to still be planning. It's to be ready.
Or you could be snowed in and out of compliance.
