Fall harvest is here, which means it’s a busy time for Kansas farmers! The Kansas Highway Patrol would like to remind drivers to , and use caution and patience when traveling around farm trucks, tractors, combines, and other implements.

Follow these tips to help keep yourself and others safe:

• if you see the orange/red slow moving vehicle emblem.

• Increase your following distance.

• Be patient! Don’t assume the farmer can easily and safely move aside to let you pass.

• Use extra caution when passing. Never pass if you are approaching a curve, bridge, hill, intersection, or railroad crossing.

Always remember to share the road, be patient, and be a cautious, courteous driver. Being a safe driver can help keep yourself and our Kansas farmers safe!
