Went to an auction a couple weeks ago and a whole flat full of vintage fragrances was being sold and nobody seemed to want it. I didn't know exact values but I got a flat with 5 bottles for $10 total and this was one of them. Glad to be at a point where I can see value without having to pull my phone out every time.

I saw a reseller post recently that said you need to figure out "no risk" buys. Let me tell you, there is no such thing. The market fluctuates and changes more than the weather in the Midwest. Whether you are risking $1 or $10,000 you are never guaranteed to get it back, let alone make a profit on it.

So, please don't pay someone $50 a month to tell you that all you need to do is spend $5k a month on a credit card and you'll be making 6 figures. It may work, but it may not.

Be smart, work within your limits, and understand that it's always a risk. Believing there are "no risk" buys is how Redbox, Blockbuster, RadioShack and dozens of pallet resale businesses have gone under.

Enjoy the recent sales after multiple weeks in a row with no posts.

One of my is to be honest. Look at this post and tell me if it seems honest. It says in the caption that you can resell these for $30, but in the picture it says $50 all while the actual, verified sale price on eBay is $22.

What's the point of a post like this?

I have seen more and more people get into reselling with a "hustle and grind" mentality that seems to always end up with something like this. People realize that they can package and sell lies for money and it's easier to sell a lie than to put in the time and effort to sell an actual product. Some guys can make millions with reselling, but the reality is most people who get to that point stopped reselling a long time ago and now they are just plain old grifters. Don't fall for the grift.

This was one of my worst buys ever. Didn't have the equipment to test and that was much more important than I realized. Not being able to confirm it was working went from an expected profit somewhere between $2,000 and $4,000, to hoping I just broke even.

Total profit on this behemoth sale? Approx. $40.

I'm always learning and I am very thankful this lesson didn't cost me four figures.

There is a possibility that I could have got more, but I worked my tail off to get this gone over the last 4 months. Lesson learned.

Some recent solds. I always do really well on slightly odd medical equipment. The fat caliper was a $20 buy at fundraising sale and will result in a $50+ profit. I could have held out for more, but I've discovered that keeping the line moving on eBay is THE strategy. Constant movement seems to keep the algorithm happy, so I'll take some offers for less profit to keep it moving and ultimately sell more over time.

My biggest(by size, not weight or price) eBay sale ever. Only took about 30 minutes to pack but I have doubts about it getting to LA unscathed. Glad to have this one gone but of course it sold while I am sick so I had to pack out of the house today to take it to UPS. Currently catching my breath in my truck from the fatigue of whatever illness this is.

As long as it makes it okay, the profit from this sale is going to a local not-for-profit and I'll take a percentage for my time. Got it for free, made some money and helps out a local club. It's a reselling trifecta.

is always an adventure.

If anyone has been tracking my these are both items from the estate sale that mis-labeled a camera but they were cool about it. This sale has been one of my best in a long time. Paid up, but it's paying off nicely.

According to I have sold 1.3k items on the platform. In those 1300+ items I don't believe I have ever sold a VHS. I've been trying for years to find one worth it, and I finally ran across this one at an estate sale a few months back. $1.

I may be more excited about this sale than my $1600 sale a month ago. Items like this are way more fun to sell than industrial equipment or building materials.

My favorite flips are rapidly becoming same-day, cash for cash. I pay cash at a garage sale or estate sale early on a Saturday and by the end of the day I have sold that item for more cash.

I bought this extremely clean Briggs & Stratton push mower for $40 at a sale this morning and sold it this afternoon for $120. If I could find 3-4 of these types of flips every Saturday I would be ecstatic.

My biggest sale ever and largest profit margin. ***HOWEVER*** I have sold his before and the buyer backed out. So we will see what happens.

This was a known longtail item when I purchased and I have had it for almost 2.5 years. I even moved it across state lines to keep it stored at one point. May sound crazy but a $1400 pay day is worth it.
