Conny Lee Burney was born on July 26, 1949, to Dorothy and Haskell Burney, in Wichita Falls, Texas the place he would call home all of his life. Conny was loved deeply by everyone who knew him, and on May 11, 2026, he passed away surrounded by the love of

Today is more than just remembering a man… it’s honoring a legacy.

In 1984, Conny Burney started Burney’s Metal Works with hard work, pride, and a vision that would stand the test of time. In 1996, he gave me an opportunity to work beside him, and that changed my life forever.

Conny wasn’t just a boss, he was family. He was my cousin, my mentor, and someone I looked up to for many years. He believed in doing things the right way, never cutting corners, and taking pride in every single job. The lessons he taught, the standards he set, and the work ethic he lived by are still the foundation of Burney’s Metal Works today.

Even though he may be gone, his legacy still lives on through every building, every weld, every roof, and every customer we serve. I’ll continue carrying that pride forward and keep building what he started all those years ago.

Rest easy, Conny.
Your legacy will live on through Burney’s Metal Works for many years to come.🙏🏻
