This quarter, OrangeCares is proud to support Being Alive, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit helping people living with HIV access wellness resources, mental health care, treatment education, prevention services, advocacy, and compassionate community support.

BEING ALIVE LOS ANGELES Being Alive was nominated by our Sales Assistant, Juan Medrano, whose personal connection to the cause helped bring its mission to our team.

Juan shared an important reminder: HIV does not discriminate. With proper treatment, education, precautions, and access to care, people living with HIV can live long, healthy lives.

Founded in 1986 by four friends living with HIV/AIDS, Being Alive has grown into one of Los Angeles’s trusted HIV wellness organizations. Its work helps eliminate stigma and barriers to care while giving every person it serves the opportunity to thrive.
