We moved to New York in 1983 to Owego NY. Our Father Robert Womack purchased the scrap yard that was at the time a Sa
lvage Yard. It was ran as a Salvage Yard for many many years. We purchased several portable car crushers and crushed cars across the state of New York and some parts of PA. We did that for about 20 years. We had a huge customer base. Then my father suffered a few strokes and we closed for a couple of years. Bobby my brother took over the yard and went to just the Scrap Metal. He has managed to run the business smoothly and to this date is still running the business. We service the public with roll-off containers for their larger amounts of scrap metals that they otherwise would not be able to get rid of (NO Charge for containers). Bobby has updated the equipment and put in a new set of 60 foot truck scales so it would be easier to weigh customers
loads. Put a Large Digital Sign on the side of the building so that they can see their weights when they weigh in and out. We have been able to keep the original employees our father had all these years. A lot of our customers have been with us since day 1. First buying parts and selling us parts cars. Now they sell us all their scrap cars and metals. They know where the coffee is! Hope you come up and check us out!
