It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a truly special member of our MacLeods Lumber family, Joe Moses.
For 24 years, Joe was so much more than an employee. He was a friend, a familiar face we could always count on, and an important part of the heart and history of our business.
Kind, caring, dependable, hardworking, and deeply dedicated, Joe was the kind of person who simply showed up-for his job, for his coworkers, and for the people around him. His loyalty and commitment throughout the years meant more to us than words can adequately express.
And then there were the dad jokes...
Anyone who knew Joe knew that he loved a good dad joke-or even a wonderfully terrible one. But the best part was rarely the punchline. It was watching him laugh at his own joke, often harder than anyone else in the room. That laugh, his sense of humor, and the happiness he brought into an ordinary workday are things we will miss tremendously.
Twenty-four years creates countless memories: conversations, laughs, long days shared, accomplishments, and all those everyday moments that don't seem extraordinary until you realize how much you would give to have just one more of them.
We are grateful for every year we were fortunate enough to have Joe as part of our team and our lives. His dedication helped shape our business, but it was his kindness and character that left the greatest mark on all of us.
Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
Thank you Joe, for your 24 years of hard work, loyalty, friendship, laughter, and unforgettable dad jokes.
You will always be part of the MacLeods Lumber family, and you will be deeply missed.
