The Engineering Department will be doing driveway estimates next week. For those of you who live in the project area and would like an estimate on a new bituminous or concrete driveway, please call our office at 429-8531 to set up an appointment. If you are not changing the dimensions of your existing driveway, you don't have to be present for an appointment. Give us a call!

At its meeting on March 13th, the City Council ordered the reconstruction of Project Area 12-01: Blomquist Avenue, Christine Place, Dorothy Avenue, Hazel Street, Richard Avenue, Ronald AVenue, Spruce Place and Van D**e Street and Project Area 12-04: Gisella Boulevard, Jay Lane and Martin Way.

The issue of proposed sidewalks on Hazel Street has been tabled until the March 27th Council meeting.

Things are starting to heat up in the Engineering Department as we get ready for the 2012 Street Reconstruction Project.

Next step: As part of this formal construction process, the White Bear Lake City Council will be conducting a public hearing to consider the proposed utility, curb and gutter, stormwater and pavement improvements.

The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.

At the City Council’s meeting on March 13th, after a brief presentation by the Engineering Department and discussion of the project by City Council members, the public hearing will be opened for comments from property owners. During this portion of the meeting, the City Council would like to receive comments from property owners regarding the proposed improvement projects.

Information about the Residential Sanitary Sewer Wye Replacement Program has been mailed to residents. Appointments for sewer televising are being scheduled between 8 AM and 3 PM, Monday-Friday, January 17 to February 3. Please call 429-8531 to schedule your appointment. Don't delay - they are filling fast! Be sure to read through the attached materials for more information on the program.
