One of the most common questions we get: can you still change your oil with a skid plate on?

Yes.

Here's the Transit skid. The access panel comes down on 1/4-20 bolts with an 11mm socket, about ten seconds with an impact, and that gets you straight to the oil filter. The drain bolt sits further back, so there's a separate cutout for it.

No dropping the plate. No extra steps. Same oil change you'd do on a stock van.

We build that into every package, because a plate you have to pull for routine service is a plate you'll eventually stop putting back on.

Why lift an Ioniq5 you ask? Lifting vehicles isn't always about big gnarly builds. Sometimes it's just about ride height for your daily commute.

This Ioniq 5 came in for a Tru### Lift & Leveling kit, and the reasons are more practical than you'd think.

Stock, an Ioniq 5 sits around 6 inches off the ground. That's fine until it isn't. Steep driveways, parking garage ramps, speed bumps, unplowed streets after a Colorado storm, washboard dirt on the way to a trailhead. All of it gets easier with a little more room underneath.

There's also what's under an EV. That battery pack runs flat across the floor of the car, and it's not something you want finding a rock or a high center. Clearance is protection.

Did you know we make protection for vans too?

Van armor is a different problem than truck armor, and it's worth understanding why before you buy anything. Start with weight. A conversion adds hundreds of pounds before you load a single thing, which changes the aluminum versus steel math. Everything here is 1/4" 5052-H32 aluminum, CNC cut and powder coated. Comparable impact protection at roughly half the weight of steel, and it won't rust out in road salt.

FULL SKID PLATE PACKAGES, SPRINTER AND PROMASTER
Your engine, transmission, and catalytic converter hang low on a van the same way they do on a truck, just under a lot more load. The ProMaster front plate covers all three in one piece, with an access hole so you can still do your own oil changes. Sprinter packages cover both 4x4 and AWD.

GENERATOR SKID, PROMASTER RV BUILDS
Here's what most people miss. On a camper build the expensive stuff isn't the drivetrain, it's the generator and the lithium battery pack, and both of them hang below the frame. Fits Winnebago Solis, Travato, and Thor Sequence.

A roof top tent is only as solid as what's holding it up.

This 2022 Wrangler came in with a rack that was never built to carry that kind of weight. Every bump had it shifting around up there. We pulled it and put on a Sherpa Equipment Co. rack, and now that Roam Adventure Co. tent has a proper foundation under it.

Sherpa builds theirs in Colorado, same as us. Hard to beat that.
