The Cath Lab 2 at Methodist Dallas Medical Center features a new dual arm monitor suspension system—the first-of-its-kind installation for GE in the region—which eliminated the need for a Unistrut and bridge structure. One of the most challenging aspects of this project involved ~350’ of new supply and return ductwork installed above the ceiling of an active public corridor. This required the use of slim panel LED 2x4 fixtures to maximize available space, and intense coordination and pre-planning. This project also included the addition of a new rooftop air handling unit (in case you missed the awesome installation video: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6806214207877500928) that provides OR-quality dedicated supply and return to Cath Lab 2 and will eventually support the other adjacent Cath Labs. Special thanks to our client, Todd Burns and John Sollenberg (with Methodist Health System), and the design team of Mark Roan, Dwight Burns, Julian Debo (from Perkins&Will) and Kevin Chow and Michael Scott (with WSP USA), plus all our dedicated trade partners named in the comments.
