In light of the anticipated severe thunderstorm risk this evening, we would like to take this opportunity to review our siren protocol. The sirens will be activated with a steady, continuous sound exclusively in the event of a tornado warning, which may be issued based on NWS radar data or reports from local storm watchers, and will persist until the threat has passed. The primary purpose of the sirens is to alert individuals outdoors, and it is possible that the sound may not be audible from within residential structures. We recommend monitoring local news channels, radio stations, or receiving updates on your mobile devices. In cases where adequate safe space is not available, the school has been designated as a storm shelter and will be accessible via the common room or gym doors if necessary. We kindly request that residents check on elderly neighbors or those without basements who may require assistance in reaching a safe location.
