This role is ideal for someone with experience in industrial automation, controls, engineering, manufacturing, or technical sales who enjoys building relationships and helping customers improve their processes. You'll work with technologies including PLCs, robotics, sensors, motion control, vision systems, thermal products, and more.

Meet Russ Crandall, a long-time member of Ramco’s West Des Moines team who has been with the company for 14 years. Russ came to Ramco after working in sales for a post-frame construction company, and when he started, he’ll be the first to admit he knew very little about factory automation or distribution.

Over the years, he’s built deep knowledge of the products Ramco sells and how they work, and he’s grown into a role where he gets to solve customer problems and take on new challenges every day. Russ appreciates Ramco’s culture of respect and initiative, where employees are encouraged to share ideas and take ownership of their work. He also points out that there’s far more effort behind a successful sale than most people realize, from the early stages of the sales cycle all the way through shipping and follow-through.

One thing Russ values most is the flexibility Ramco provides and the understanding that life outside of work matters, along with the wealth of knowledge shared across the company and the willingness of teammates to help.
