If you’ve ever walked into West Point Lumber & Hardware, you know the feeling.
The tall wood shelves reaching the ceiling.
The old rolling library ladders.
The smell of lumber.
And a friendly face behind the counter ready to help.
For many people, stepping into our store feels like stepping back in time — to a place where service mattered, people knew your name, and a hardware store was more than a store… it was part of the town.
Since 1901, West Point Lumber & Hardware has been part of everyday life here. It’s where generations have come to build homes, fix barns, start projects, and create memories. Where advice was free, stories were shared, and relationships were built across the counter.
And that feeling is still here today.
You’ll still see the ladders.
You’ll still be greeted by familiar faces like Kathy.
And you’ll see the next generation, like Nick, carrying that tradition forward.
While a lot has changed over the years, what hasn’t is our commitment to this community — real service, real relationships, and helping our customers get the job done right.
At the same time, we’re continuing to expand our product offerings so our customers can find more of what they need right here at home — combining the small-town experience people love with the modern products today’s projects demand.
Very few businesses reach 125 years — especially in a small town. It only happens because of trust, loyalty, and generations of support.
