On Thursday, our Building Services interns joined the Building Services team for a site visit. During the visit, they had the opportunity to identify and discuss many of the air distribution devices and mechanical systems that are used every day. The purpose of the visit was to participate in a substantial completion walkthrough, ensuring that the contractor had installed the systems according to ECF Building Services’ design.

The interns quickly identified key equipment such as Variable Air Volume (VAV) boxes and Air Handling Units (AHUs), demonstrating their growing understanding of building mechanical systems. Experiences like this provide a valuable opportunity to connect classroom knowledge with real-world applications and see building systems in action. 🌟

Recently, we visited an ongoing FPL transmission line project in Miami, FL, where crews are installing concrete spun structures and pulling new conductor for a 230kV transmission line.
