𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 𝐑𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 // ππ”πˆππ‚π˜, 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬. -- General Dynamics Mission Systems has been awarded a contract modification by the U.S. Navy to advance Mining Expendable Delivery Unmanned Submarine Asset (MEDUSA) prototype systems and engineering services. MEDUSA is an advanced, submarine-launched delivery system that uses an expendable unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) to deploy diverse payloads with precision. Purpose-built to meet the U.S. Navy's stringent requirements for long-range offensive mining capability, MEDUSA offers the flexibility to host additional payloads, enhancing its operational utility across a broad range of maritime missions.
