One of the most underrated things to check for in yard care? Your soil pH.

A $20 test kit from your local hardware store might be the best money you spend on your lawn this year.

Sweet spot: between 6.0 and 7.0.

Too low: thinning grass, moss creeping in, weeds taking over.

Too high: yellow grass that can't absorb nutrients properly.

Either way, no amount of fertilizer will fix it until the pH is right.
