This is why we like to balance shafts while they spin. The paint goes on evenly and doesn’t have any effect on the balance. It looks clean and gives enough rust protection for storage. Other major manufacturers paint in the same way but generally in a static environment. I have them frequently come in with major runs or huge peels missing and exposed steel. It is mostly the norm in this industry. We do however offer actual paint jobs and color matching for those who want to pay extra for it. This would include full prep, prime, paint and clear. 99 percent of our customers do not actually care one way or another. Once it is under the car, it doesn’t get seen again outside of by a random mechanic who has it on a lift.

Finishing up this little 3 pc shaft. Balance is on point and it’s ready to be welded and painted. These get a little tricky with the extra hanger bearings but no worries. It’s always smooth when it comes off this machine.

Ready to weld the balance weights on and this one can go to its new home!!

Added a bit of aluminum hole-be-gone to this lift plate. I am pretty sure the customer said it is for his dock lift mechanism. Not too bad for some old dirty aluminum. It should be ready for another 20 years of action.

Customer requested a base that would allow him to remove the trolling motor frame from his boat easily if he brought the grandkids swimming. This is what I came up with to mount to the boat. It has a nice little quick release clip and low profile, so he won’t have to worry about the kids pulling on the upright climbing around the boat.
