This year’s Engineers Week theme, Transform Your Future, highlights how engineering shapes communities, strengthens infrastructure, and inspires the next generation. Few careers embody that spirit more fully than Bob Dalton, P.E., who is celebrating an extraordinary 50 years as a licensed Professional Engineer! 🎉
Bob’s engineering journey began with encouragement from a high school physics teacher—spark ignited, path transformed. From early days inspecting highways in Illinois and designing innovative drainage solutions, to decades of service in dam safety, flood control, and community assistance, Bob’s work has left an imprint across the Midwest. He helped shape state dam safety programs, contributed to the formation of the Association of State Dam Safety Officials, and supported countless communities through critical infrastructure planning.
Bob’s career is a testament to what happens when passion meets purpose. His dedication shows how engineers don’t just transform the future—they transform futures, including the communities we serve and the people we work alongside.
Please join us in celebrating Bob and all the engineers who make a lasting difference.
Happy Engineers Week! 🚀
