We recently made a huge purchase of steel from a company that was going out of business. After a couple weeks of making trips back and forth to the purchase location, we finally have all of that steel here and there's a LOT of it!
There's so much that we're hurting for space, so we're going to have a sale like never before!
For smaller amounts it's going to be the usual $1/pound.
If you buy 500 # or more in a single visit it'll be $0.75/pound.
Here's the real deal for anyone looking to stock up! If you purchase 5000 # or more in a single visit, I'll let it go for $0.50/pound! If you can't haul that much at once you can make multiple trips as long as you select and pay for all of the material in one transaction.
Obviously, picking out and loading 5000 # of steel would take some time and effort so if you intend to take advantage of this deal, please make an appointment to do so. This will only be available while supplies last. I don't know if it's going to be 1 day or a month, but when it gets to the point where we're back down to a more reasonable level of inventory, I'm going to pull the plug on this level of pricing and will update this post at that time.
The weight can either be calculated using a steel book, determined with scales, or a combination of the two methods depending on what works best.
5000 # may seem like a lot, but we are talking about steel. Much of what we just picked up are brand new, full-length sticks of very heavy material.
I'm not going to list it all because that would take way too much time, but here are some examples of what we have here at the time of this posting:
A 20' stick of 1" X 12" flat that weights 816 # by itself, plus another slightly shorter one that I haven't calculated but figure is in the 700+ # range.
Several 1.5" rounds that are 120 # each.
Several sticks of 4" X 4" X 1/2" angle that comes in at 256 # per stick.
Several sticks of 6" X 4" X 3/8" angle weighing 246 # per stick.
At least 6 sticks of 3" X 1-1/2" X 1/4" rectangular tube at 150 # per stick.
A 4' X 10' X 1/2" plate weighing 815 # and a 4' X 8' piece at 652 #.
A couple large pieces of 3/8" plate and some 1/4" plate that I'm happy to calculate the weight of at the time of sale.
Several different sizes of square and rectangular tube, much of it 1/4" wall.
A large variety of flat stock, round stock, and some square.
Several different sizes of pipe.
We're still sorting through much of this material, so who knows what all we're going to find as we get it more organized and/or sell the top layers.
The above pricing applies as long as it's steel and doesn't fall into the following categories: DOM, expanded, perforated, or items that are in our itemized inventory.
Nearly everything in the pictures is included. Any exceptions that can be seen in a picture will be listed individually in the captions.
We also still have some inventory from that sheet sale we ran a while back. I have since learned that it's actually "aluminized" rather than "cold-rolled". This is a higher quality material that is very resistant to corrosion. I'm keeping the pricing the same despite finding out it was better material than I thought (unless you're trying to TIG weld it . . . this is how a customer helped me discover that it wasn't what I originally thought!).
The aluminized sheet is available as follows:
20 gauge - 28" X 28" pieces, $10 each
20 gauge - 4' X 10' sheets, $80 each
18 gauge - 4' X 10' sheets, $100 each
16 gauge - 48" X 56" pieces, $60 each
16 gauge - 4' X 10' sheets, $120 each
All pricing is pre-sales tax. If you are exempt from paying sales tax, please bring the proper documentation to verify this unless we already have it on file.
Local or company checks and cash are the only forms of payment we accept, no cards or apps.
