May’s NEPIRC Manufacturer of the Month is Metalkraft Industries – a precision powdered metals company located in Wellsboro, Tioga County. For more than four decades this family-owned and operated business has been leading the way in innovative, customer-focused superior quality powdered metal production. The company provides a great work environment for more than 50 employees out of its modern 50,000 sq/ft facility that features advanced sintering, oil impregnation, resonance testing and automation equipment. Major customers within the automotive, lawn/garden, recreational vehicle, and alternative energy sectors include Flex-N-Gate, Ingersoll Rand and STIHL. Say hello to Dream Team Ambassador, Sean Wright, Die Setter, from Metalkraft Industries, located in Wellsboro, PA! Metalkraft Industries is a manufacturer of powdered metal products used within the automotive, solar and power equipment markets.

Jenelle Osborne, NEPIRC's Dream Team Project Coordinator, visited Metalkraft Industries to present Sean with a certificate to thank him for being an Ambassador. She also presented a lobby plaque to Glenn Poirier, VP of Operations, to acknowledge Metalkraft Industries' participation in the Dream Team program.

Sean is looking forward to meeting with and talking to high school students in the Northern Tier about all the opportunities that careers in manufacturing offer.

MetalKraft Industries is URGENTLY hiring for Universal Operators available to work 2nd shift, 4 pm to Midnight and/or 3rd shift, Midnight to 8 am.

NEW STARTING WAGE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!!!

Must be able to work your scheduled shift including any overtime. Possible 10 hour shift M-T.

Manufacturing experience a plus, but not required

Must able to work in a fast-paced environment, able to follow directions, have reliable attendance and able to handle stressful working conditions. Must be able to multi task, stand for long periods of time, be a teamwork player and doesn't mind getting dirty

New starting wage is $14.50 with an additional .50 after 90 days!! Shift differential not included.

Are you good with your hands? Then this position is for you!

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

Giving attention to safety, housekeeping, time efficiency, and materials apply to all processes:

Ensure the workplace is consistently clean and orderly and is free of hazards
Check and sort for quality defects and inform Supervision/management for corrective action
Report time, production, materials used, and other data relative to the job accurately and in the manner prescribed. Work Instructions, Job Travelers, and SOPs
Read and use work instructions, Job Travelers, and SOPs.
Combine 4 components into one sub-assembly
Using a hand-operated air table, insert the last component to complete the final assembly
Inspect final assembly quality to Job Travelers and SOP’s
Place completed assembly in the final shipping container
New starting wage is $14.50/hr with an additional .50/hr after 90 days!!!

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $14.50 per hour then an additional .50 after 90 days
